Former Lagos State governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has paid tribute to his late mother, Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour, describing her as a source of strength who taught him to overcome fear and stand firmly for his convictions.
Reflecting on her life, Rhodes-Vivour said his mother transformed from someone who initially worried about the risks of politics into one of his strongest supporters throughout his political journey.
He recalled that her courage, resilience, and unwavering encouragement inspired him to remain committed to his vision despite challenges and public scrutiny.
According to him, his mother’s belief in justice, service, and integrity shaped his outlook on leadership and reinforced his determination to contribute to positive change in society.
Rhodes-Vivour noted that her support extended beyond words, saying she consistently encouraged him to remain focused on serving the people and pursuing his goals with honesty and compassion.
