RASHFORD IS BACK WITH SOMETHING DIFFERENT — CARRICK
Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has backed Marcus Rashford to play an important role in the new Premier League season, saying the forward has returned with something different to offer.
Carrick believes Rashford can make a significant contribution after returning from his loan spell at Barcelona, where he gained valuable experience and competed at the highest level.
The manager said Rashford’s development and experience have given him a different perspective and could help him make a stronger impact this season.
Rashford spent the previous campaign away from Manchester United after falling out of favour at the club, with his loan move providing an opportunity to regain confidence and rediscover his form.
Carrick is now confident that the England international can bring greater maturity and quality to United’s attack as the club prepares for the new Premier League campaign.
The manager’s comments are likely to encourage Rashford, who will be looking to establish himself as an important figure in the team and repay the faith placed in him.
Rashford has previously demonstrated his ability to score and create goals at the highest level, and United will hope his return can provide an additional attacking threat.
Carrick said the forward’s unique qualities remain valuable to the team and believes there is something different about Rashford following his recent experience away from Old Trafford.
The new season is therefore expected to provide Rashford with another opportunity to revive his Manchester United career and demonstrate that he can once again become one of the club’s leading attacking players.
