REHABILITATING RESCUED OYO TEACHERS, PUPILS NOW OUR PRIORITY — MAKINDE
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has said the immediate priority of his administration is the rehabilitation and recovery of the teachers and pupils recently rescued after being abducted by kidnappers.
Speaking after their release, the governor said the victims would receive comprehensive medical care, psychological support, and counselling to help them recover from the trauma of their ordeal.
Makinde commended the security agencies for their coordinated efforts, professionalism, and commitment, which led to the successful rescue of the victims.
He assured residents that the state government would continue working closely with security agencies to strengthen security and prevent similar incidents across Oyo State.
The governor also thanked the people of the state for their patience, prayers, and cooperation throughout the rescue operation.
According to him, efforts are ongoing to apprehend those responsible for the abduction and ensure they are brought to justice.
Makinde reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property, stressing that the safety and well-being of all residents remain a top priority.
