EBOLA: FG WORKS WITH UGANDA TO PREVENT SPREAD IN NIGERIA
The Federal Government says it is working to contain an imported case of Ebola in Nigeria while collaborating with Ugandan authorities to prevent further spread of the virus.
The Ministry of Health said efforts were ongoing to manage the case and strengthen measures to protect public health.
The collaboration with Uganda is aimed at supporting information sharing and coordination in response to the Ebola threat.
Ebola is a serious viral disease that can spread through direct contact with the blood or other bodily fluids of an infected person or someone who has died from the disease.
Health authorities typically respond to suspected cases through prompt testing, isolation, contact tracing and infection-prevention measures.
The government’s statement comes amid efforts to limit the risk of transmission and safeguard the health of Nigerians.
