Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, says ongoing reforms and digitisation initiatives within the commission will significantly improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
Speaking during an official engagement, Ogbuku explained that the NDDC is implementing institutional reforms aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability and project monitoring across the Niger Delta region.
According to him, the adoption of digital systems and technology-driven processes will help reduce delays, improve coordination and ensure better management of development projects.
The NDDC boss also stated that the commission remains committed to delivering impactful infrastructure and empowerment programmes for communities within the Niger Delta.
He noted that digitisation would enhance data management, tracking of projects and communication between the commission and stakeholders.
Development experts say modernising administrative systems through technology can improve efficiency and reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks in public institutions.
Stakeholders in the Niger Delta have continued to call for sustained reforms and effective implementation of development projects across the oil-producing region.
The NDDC has faced criticism in the past over project execution and accountability, making reforms and transparency key areas of public interest.
Officials insist the ongoing restructuring efforts are part of broader plans to reposition the commission for improved performance and regional development.
