KWANKWASO CONDEMNS BLOCKADE OF OBI’S CONVOY
Former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso has condemned the reported blockade of Peter Obi’s convoy in Benue State, describing the incident as unacceptable and calling for those responsible to be prosecuted.
Kwankwaso criticised the incident while reacting to reports surrounding Obi’s movement in the state.
He said political differences should not be allowed to result in actions capable of disrupting the rights of political actors or undermining democratic participation.
The former governor urged security authorities to investigate the incident and ensure that anyone found responsible faces the appropriate consequences.
Kwankwaso also called on political leaders and their supporters to respect democratic principles and allow politicians to carry out their lawful activities without intimidation or obstruction.
The incident has attracted attention as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Authorities are expected to clarify the circumstances surrounding the reported blockade and determine whether any offences were committed.
