KATSINA GOV PRESENTS N828BN 2027 BUDGET TO ASSEMBLY
Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has presented a proposed N828.64 billion 2027 budget to the state House of Assembly for consideration and approval.
The budget, according to the governor, places strong emphasis on capital projects, with about 77 per cent of the total budget earmarked for capital expenditure.
Radda said the proposed budget is designed to accelerate development across Katsina State while addressing key areas affecting residents.
Major priorities include infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, security and human capital development.
The governor said the large allocation to capital projects reflects his administration’s commitment to delivering infrastructure and other development projects that can improve the living conditions of residents.
He urged members of the House of Assembly to give the proposed budget thorough consideration and work with the executive to ensure its effective implementation.
The presentation now puts the proposed 2027 budget before the lawmakers, who are expected to scrutinise the estimates before deciding on their passage.
If approved and implemented as proposed, the budget will guide the Katsina State Government’s spending and development priorities throughout 2027.
