President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for what he described as outstanding performance in driving infrastructure development and urban renewal across Abuja.
Speaking during the inauguration of key projects in the Federal Capital Territory, Tinubu praised Wike’s commitment to delivering visible results, stating that the former Rivers State governor had lived up to expectations since assuming office as FCT Minister.
“You have not disappointed me. You are doing very well,” the President reportedly told Wike while acknowledging the pace of development witnessed in the nation’s capital.
Tinubu highlighted ongoing road construction, rehabilitation projects, and other infrastructure initiatives, noting that the transformation taking place in Abuja reflects the administration’s commitment to improving public infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
The President described Wike as a results-oriented leader whose dedication to service has contributed significantly to the progress recorded in the FCT. He urged the minister to sustain the momentum and continue implementing projects that directly impact the lives of citizens.
Responding, Wike expressed gratitude to the President for his support and confidence, assuring Nigerians that the FCT Administration would continue to work diligently to deliver more developmental projects.
The minister reaffirmed his commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration, promising to intensify efforts to modernize the capital city and improve service delivery.
