EKITI GOV APPROVES RECRUITMENT OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS
Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has approved the recruitment of additional primary school teachers as part of efforts to strengthen basic education and address manpower shortages in public schools across the state.
The approval is aimed at filling existing vacancies, improving the teacher-to-pupil ratio, and enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in primary schools.
According to the state government, the recruitment exercise forms part of the administration’s commitment to providing accessible and quality education while ensuring that every child has access to qualified teachers.
Officials said the exercise would also help replace retiring teachers and meet the growing demand for teaching personnel in schools across the state.
Governor Oyebanji reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing in education through improved infrastructure, teacher welfare, capacity building, and policies that enhance learning outcomes.
He noted that strengthening the education sector remains a key priority for the state government because of its role in human capital development and economic growth.
The government assured prospective applicants that the recruitment process would be transparent, merit-based, and conducted in accordance with established guidelines.
