ALAUSA ASSURES WORKERS OF JOB SECURITY
The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, has assured workers of King’s College, Lagos, that their jobs are secure amid proposed changes to the school’s administration.
Alausa gave the assurance while addressing concerns among staff over the planned administrative changes at the Federal Government-owned institution.
The minister said the proposed changes were not intended to threaten the employment of existing workers or undermine their welfare.
He assured the staff that their contributions would continue to be recognised as the government works to improve the administration and overall management of the college.
The development follows concerns surrounding the proposed changes and their possible impact on workers at the institution.
Alausa said the Federal Ministry of Education would continue to engage with relevant stakeholders as the administrative process progresses.
Workers at King’s College are therefore expected to remain in their positions as the ministry moves forward with the proposed reforms.
