CUSTOMS SPENDS N70BN ON CSR PROJECTS — COMPTROLLER-GENERAL

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has spent more than N70 billion on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects across the country in less than two years, its Comptroller-General has said.
The Comptroller-General disclosed that the funds were used to support various projects and interventions aimed at improving the welfare of communities across Nigeria.
The CSR initiatives are understood to cover areas including infrastructure and other projects intended to support communities and address identified needs.
According to the Customs Service, the expenditure reflects its commitment to contributing to national development beyond its core responsibility of revenue collection and enforcement.
The Comptroller-General said the service would continue to support initiatives that have a positive impact on communities across the country.
The disclosure comes as the NCS continues to highlight its contributions to social and community development alongside its statutory responsibilities.
