TINUBU ORDERS RELEASE OF FUNDS TO REGIONAL COMMISSIONS

President Bola Tinubu has directed the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) to ensure the release of all approved funds to regional development commissions across the country.
The directive is aimed at ensuring that the commissions have the resources required to carry out their responsibilities and implement development projects within their respective regions.
The regional development commissions are responsible for coordinating interventions and development initiatives aimed at addressing infrastructure and other socio-economic challenges in their areas of operation.
Tinubu’s directive is expected to improve the availability of funds for the implementation of approved programmes and projects by the commissions.
The SGF is expected to work with relevant government agencies to ensure that the approved funds are released in line with the President’s directive.
The development comes as the Federal Government continues efforts to strengthen regional development initiatives and accelerate the implementation of projects across the country.
