AIYEDATIWA DENIES BACKING OPPOSITION CANDIDATES AGAINST APC

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has denied allegations that he is supporting opposition candidates against the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections.
Aiyedatiwa said he remains committed to the APC and has no plan to support candidates of opposition parties against the ruling party.
The governor also declared zero tolerance for anti-party activities, warning that members of the APC must remain loyal to the party and work towards its success in the forthcoming elections.
He described reports suggesting that he was backing opposition candidates as unfounded, insisting that his political activities remain within the APC.
Aiyedatiwa urged party members and supporters to disregard rumours capable of creating division within the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
He stressed the importance of unity and discipline within the APC, saying members must work together to strengthen the party’s position in Ondo State.
The governor’s clarification comes amid growing political activities across the country as parties and politicians begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Aiyedatiwa maintained that his administration would continue to focus on governance while supporting the growth and stability of the APC in Ondo State.
