Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has dismissed speculation of a rift between him and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, describing their relationship as cordial and built on mutual respect.
Abbas said reports suggesting a political disagreement between the two leaders ahead of the 2027 general elections were false and intended to create unnecessary divisions within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Speaker stressed that he and Governor Uba Sani remain committed to working together in the interest of Kaduna State and the development of the ruling party.
He urged party members and supporters to disregard rumours capable of causing disunity, insisting that there is no conflict between both leaders.
According to Abbas, their shared focus remains on delivering good governance, strengthening the APC, and addressing the needs of the people rather than engaging in political distractions.
He also called on political stakeholders to promote unity and avoid spreading unverified claims that could undermine cooperation within the party.
The clarification comes amid growing political discussions ahead of the 2027 elections, with both Abbas and Governor Uba Sani regarded as key APC figures in Kaduna State.
