GOV CONDEMNS FRESH BENUE ATTACK, COMMENDS SECURITY MEN
Benue State Governor has condemned the latest attack on Efeyi community, allegedly carried out by suspected armed herders, describing the incident as a senseless act of violence that claimed the lives of at least 15 people.
The governor expressed deep sympathy to the families of the victims and the affected community, assuring residents that the state government remains committed to protecting lives and property.
He commended security personnel for their swift response to the attack, noting that two of the suspected attackers were reportedly neutralised during efforts to repel the assault.
The governor urged security agencies to intensify operations across vulnerable communities to apprehend those responsible and prevent further attacks in the state.
He also called on residents to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing credible intelligence that could assist ongoing investigations and security operations.
According to the governor, the Benue State Government will continue working closely with federal security agencies and relevant stakeholders to strengthen security and restore lasting peace across affected communities.
He reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to ensure justice for the victims and to sustain efforts aimed at ending the cycle of violence in Benue State.
