YOUR FUTURE DEPENDS ON ELECTION, COLLECT YOUR PVCs, TINUBU TELLS YOUTHS
President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerian youths to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and actively participate in the 2027 general elections, stressing that the country’s future depends largely on the choices voters make at the polls.
The President urged young Nigerians not to stay away from the electoral process but to use their voting power to influence the direction of the country.
Tinubu emphasised that elections provide citizens with an opportunity to shape leadership, determine public policies and hold elected officials accountable for their performance.
He encouraged young people to take voter registration and PVC collection seriously, noting that meaningful participation in democracy goes beyond expressing opinions on social media.
The President’s appeal comes as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with political parties and candidates beginning to mobilise support across the country.
With youths representing a significant part of Nigeria’s voting population, their participation could play an important role in determining the outcome of the next presidential and other elections.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has continued preparations for the 2027 polls, urging eligible Nigerians to ensure they are properly registered and ready to exercise their civic responsibilities.
