OGUN RELEASES N6.75BN FOR GRATUITY, ADDITIONAL PENSION BENEFITS

The Ogun State Government has released N6.75 billion for the payment of gratuity and Additional Pension Benefits to retirees in the state.
The Head of Service disclosed the release, saying the funds were approved to settle outstanding retirement benefits owed to eligible retirees.
The payment is expected to provide financial relief to former public servants who have been waiting for their gratuity and other pension-related entitlements.
The state government said the release forms part of its efforts to improve the welfare of retirees and address outstanding pension obligations.
Relevant government agencies are expected to commence the payment process to eligible beneficiaries following the release of the funds.
