I AM MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE THAN MOST GRADUATES’ — MC OLUOMO

President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has said practical experience and life exposure have given him knowledge that surpasses that of many university graduates.
Speaking during a public event, MC Oluomo maintained that formal education is important but does not solely determine a person’s intelligence, competence, or ability to succeed in life.
According to him, years of leadership, business experience, and interaction with people from different backgrounds have equipped him with valuable knowledge and skills that cannot always be acquired in the classroom.
He said many individuals without university degrees have excelled in leadership, entrepreneurship, and public service through hard work, determination, and practical learning.
MC Oluomo encouraged young Nigerians to pursue education while also developing practical skills, discipline, and resilience, stressing that success depends on a combination of knowledge, experience, and character.
His comments have generated mixed reactions on social media, with some agreeing that experience is an important form of education, while others argued that formal education remains essential for personal and national development.
The NURTW president reaffirmed his belief that both academic qualifications and practical experience have important roles to play in achieving success.
