Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has charged the 23 newly appointed commissioners in his administration to begin work immediately, stressing that there is no time for a learning curve as the government intensifies efforts to deliver on its development agenda.
Speaking during the inauguration of the commissioners, the governor urged the new cabinet members to demonstrate commitment, professionalism, and accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Yahaya said his administration has entered a critical phase where every member of the executive council must contribute meaningfully to achieving the government’s goals and improving the lives of the people of Gombe State.
He called on the commissioners to work as a united team, prioritise service delivery, and ensure that government policies and programmes are implemented efficiently across all sectors.
The governor also reminded the appointees that public office is a call to service, urging them to uphold transparency, integrity, and dedication while carrying out their duties.
According to him, the expectations of the people are high, and the commissioners must justify the confidence reposed in them by delivering measurable results without delay.
The newly inaugurated commissioners are expected to immediately assume their duties as the state government continues to pursue its development priorities across infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and other key sectors.
