GROUP SUPPORTS VULNERABLE LAGOS FAMILIES WITH FOOD DISTRIBUTION

The APC Youth Network West Africa has expanded its “Food Sharing for the Needy” initiative, providing food relief to more than 1,000 vulnerable families across Lagos State as part of efforts to cushion the impact of economic hardship.
The group said the outreach is aimed at supporting low-income households, widows, the elderly, and other vulnerable members of society by providing essential food items to help meet their daily needs.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, organisers described the initiative as part of their commitment to promoting compassion, community service, and social welfare through sustained humanitarian interventions.
The beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the support, noting that the food items would provide much-needed relief amid rising living costs and other economic challenges.
The organisers also urged individuals, corporate organisations, and other groups to complement government efforts by supporting initiatives that improve the welfare of disadvantaged communities.
According to the group, the programme will continue to expand to reach more communities across Lagos and other parts of the country in the coming months.
The initiative reflects growing efforts by community-based organisations and political support groups to provide humanitarian assistance while encouraging collective action to address the needs of vulnerable Nigerians.
