The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ikeja Local Government Chapter, has honoured the member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, James Abiodun Faleke, and the Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Akeem Olalekan Dauda, with leadership awards.
The awards were presented during CAN Ikeja’s 2026 Revival Programme, held at Christ the Light Church, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, under the theme, “Thy Kingdom Come.”
Faleke received the Servant Leadership Merit Award, while Dauda was presented with the Servant Stewardship Leadership Award.
The association recognised both public office holders for their contributions to community development, humanitarian service and leadership.
Faleke, who was represented at the ceremony by Ikeja Local Government Supervisor for Environment, Edward Aragbonfoh, expressed appreciation for the recognition.
Aragbonfoh said the award would encourage the federal lawmaker to sustain his commitment to public service and continue supporting initiatives aimed at improving the lives of residents across Ikeja Federal Constituency.
Dauda, popularly known as AKOD, also thanked CAN for the honour, describing it as motivation for his administration to deliver more dividends of democracy.
He dedicated the award to the people of Ikeja and pledged to intensify efforts towards improving their welfare and advancing development across the local government.
The event also featured prayers and messages calling on political and religious leaders to embrace integrity, accountability and responsible leadership.
