The Enugu State Government has warned politicians and political groups against displaying campaign posters without proper authorisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The government said the restriction was aimed at preventing indiscriminate posting and protecting the appearance of public spaces across the state.
It also warned that individuals or groups who violate the directive could face a fine of up to N50 million.
Authorities urged politicians, supporters and political organisations to comply with the regulations governing the placement of posters and other campaign materials.
The warning comes as political activities gradually increase ahead of the 2027 elections, with parties and potential candidates beginning to mobilise supporters across the country.
The state government said enforcement of the poster regulations would continue, with violators liable to face the prescribed penalties.
