SEX IS FOR MARRIAGE, JULIANA OLAYODE TELLS SINGLES QUESTIONING SEXUAL COMPATIBILITY
Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode, popularly known as Toyo Baby, has advised unmarried people against engaging in premarital sex simply because they want to establish sexual compatibility before marriage.
The actress, who is known for her advocacy of sexual purity, addressed the issue in a lengthy social media post on Saturday, November 7, following conversations with people seeking answers to questions about sex, relationships and Christian values.
According to Olayode, some singles have expressed concerns about marrying someone without first knowing whether they would be sexually compatible.
Their concerns reportedly include physical compatibility, sexual satisfaction and the possibility of encountering challenges in their intimate lives after marriage.
Responding to these questions, the actress argued that sexual satisfaction is not determined by physical attributes alone.
“The size of a man’s penis does not determine sexual satisfaction,” she stated.
She further described marriage as something couples should grow into together, rather than an examination that must be passed before making a commitment.
“Marriage is not a sexual examination you must pass before you can confidently say yes to someone,” she wrote.
Olayode acknowledged that sexual intimacy and compatibility are important in marriage but maintained that communication, patience and mutual understanding play significant roles in building a fulfilling intimate relationship.
She also encouraged couples to seek guidance from Christian sex counsellors and qualified sex therapists when necessary.
The actress, however, clarified that abstinence before marriage does not guarantee a perfect marriage, just as having sex before marriage does not guarantee sexual satisfaction.
She explained that her position on sexual purity is rooted in her Christian faith and not an expectation that abstinence would automatically produce a trouble-free marriage.
“Purity is not a transaction where we abstain today in exchange for a perfect marriage tomorrow. We pursue purity because we love God, because we trust Him and because it is the life He has called us to live,” she said.
Reaffirming her position, Olayode declared that she remained committed to her beliefs despite differing opinions and personal experiences.
“And yes, SEX IS FOR MARRIAGE. I believe it, I talk about it, and I stand by it,” she added.
Her comments have once again brought the debate over premarital sex, sexual compatibility and religious values into public conversation.
