FG TO GIVE STUDENTS 100MB FREE DATA DAILY FROM OCTOBER 1

The Federal Government is set to provide students with 100MB of free internet data daily from October 1, 2026, to support access to educational websites and digital learning platforms.
The initiative is aimed at helping students access online educational resources and participate in digital learning without having to bear the full cost of internet data.
Under the programme, eligible students are expected to receive the daily data allocation for accessing approved educational content and platforms.
The Federal Government said the initiative forms part of efforts to expand digital access and support the use of technology in education.
The programme is expected to begin on October 1, 2026, with further details on eligibility, registration and participating platforms expected to be provided by the relevant authorities before implementation.
Students and other stakeholders are advised to await official guidelines on how to access the free daily data.
