The Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Alausa, is set to present the Federal Government’s three-year scorecard on education reforms under President Bola Tinubu’s administration at a major education summit in Abuja on Wednesday.
The summit will bring together policymakers, education experts, development partners, academics, and other stakeholders to assess the progress recorded in the education sector and discuss strategies for future improvements.
According to the organisers, the event will review key reforms introduced over the past three years, including initiatives aimed at improving access to quality education, strengthening tertiary institutions, enhancing technical and vocational education, expanding digital learning, and improving teacher development.
Dr. Alausa is expected to highlight the achievements of the Tinubu administration, ongoing challenges within the sector, and policy measures designed to improve learning outcomes and align education with national development goals.
The summit will also provide a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas on addressing issues such as out-of-school children, education funding, infrastructure deficits, curriculum reforms, and skills acquisition.
Participants are expected to make recommendations on how to strengthen Nigeria’s education system and ensure it meets the demands of a rapidly changing global economy.
The Federal Government says the education reform agenda remains a key priority in its efforts to build human capital, promote innovation, and drive sustainable national development.
