BANDITS KILL SCORES IN BENUE COMMUNITY, ALIA CONDEMNS ATTACK
Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has condemned the deadly attack on Sai Community, where scores of residents were reportedly killed by armed bandits.
The governor described the incident as barbaric and unacceptable, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extending his condolences to the families of the victims.
Alia called on security agencies to intensify operations in the affected area, apprehend those responsible, and ensure they are brought to justice.
He assured residents that the state government is working closely with security agencies to restore peace and strengthen security across vulnerable communities.
The governor also urged citizens to remain calm, avoid taking the law into their own hands, and continue providing credible information that could assist security operatives in tracking down the attackers.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property, stressing that efforts to combat insecurity in Benue State will be sustained.
