Zulum donates ₦50m to family of Lt. Col killed by Boko Haram in Borno

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has donated ₦50 million to the family of a Nigerian Army officer, Lt. Col. OC Okolo, who was killed in a recent Boko Haram attack in the state.
The governor made the donation as a gesture of support and solidarity with the bereaved family, acknowledging the late officer’s sacrifice in the fight against insurgency.
Zulum described the fallen officer as a hero who paid the ultimate price in service to the nation, stressing the need to honour and support families of security personnel who lose their lives in active duty.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the military and other security agencies in ongoing efforts to combat insurgency and restore peace in the North-East.
The donation has been widely seen as a compassionate move, highlighting the importance of recognising the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces.
