SAKA HAILS LAMINE YAMAL: “HE’S NOT NORMAL”

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has heaped praise on Barcelona’s teenage prodigy Lamine Yamal, describing the 17-year-old as “not normal” due to his extraordinary performances at such a young age.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Saka admitted he has been amazed by what Yamal has achieved before even turning 18.

“He’s top. Honestly, doing what he is doing at his age—what can you say? He’s unreal,” Saka said. “It’s not normal. No one does it. I don’t think I’ve seen that level for a 17-year-old, so credit to him.”

Yamal recently dazzled fans during Barcelona’s thrilling 3-3 Champions League semi-final clash against Inter Milan. Despite his age, he has already featured in 100 matches for Barcelona, a milestone many elite players only reach in their early 20s.

Statistically, Yamal is matching or even outpacing legends. At 100 games, he has 49 goals and assists—compared to Lionel Messi’s 55, who was nearly 21 at the time. Cristiano Ronaldo, at 19, had only managed 26 goal contributions in his first 100 professional appearances.

Yamal’s rise has left the football world in awe, and if Saka’s words are any indication, the young Spaniard is destined for greatness.
