Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has commended members and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the peaceful conduct of the party’s ward and local government congresses across the state.
Speaking during a meeting with party leaders in Birnin Kebbi, the governor praised party officials, security agencies, and electoral committees for ensuring an orderly and transparent exercise. He described the peaceful outcome as a sign of unity within the APC and a strong foundation for future political activities.
Idris noted that the congresses reflected the maturity and discipline of party members, adding that internal harmony remains key to strengthening the APC ahead of upcoming political contests. According to him, the absence of major disputes or violence shows that stakeholders are committed to democratic values and party stability.
The governor also urged newly elected party executives to promote inclusiveness and fairness in their leadership, stressing that the APC must remain open to all loyal members. He called on party supporters who may feel dissatisfied with the process to embrace dialogue and work together for the progress of the party and the state.
Party officials present at the meeting reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining peace and unity, while assuring members that the congress outcomes would help reposition the APC for greater success in future elections.
