President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Nigerians to embrace love, tolerance and unity as Muslims across the country celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
In his Eid message, the President encouraged citizens to reflect on the values of sacrifice, compassion and obedience associated with the Islamic festival.
Tinubu urged Nigerians to strengthen peaceful coexistence, promote mutual understanding and show kindness to one another regardless of ethnic, political or religious differences.
According to the President, national unity and collective support remain essential for overcoming the country’s economic and security challenges.
He also appealed to citizens to continue praying for peace, stability and progress across the nation while remaining hopeful about Nigeria’s future.
The President stressed the importance of supporting vulnerable members of society during the festive period through charity, empathy and community service.
Religious leaders across the country have similarly encouraged Muslims to use the occasion to promote forgiveness, tolerance and social harmony.
Eid-el-Kabir remains one of the most significant celebrations in Islam, symbolising sacrifice, faith and devotion.
Muslims nationwide are marking the celebration with prayers, family gatherings and acts of generosity.
