Future Stars emerged champions of the 2025 Obasa Games after edging Goal Getters 6–5 on penalties, following a tense 1–1 draw in regulation time at Agege.
The keenly contested final lived up to expectations as both teams displayed discipline, pace and tactical awareness. Goal Getters struck first with a well-worked move in the opening half, but Future Stars responded after the break, restoring parity and pushing the game into penalties.
The shootout proved dramatic, with both sides converting their early kicks before a late miss by Goal Getters handed Future Stars the advantage. The winning penalty sparked celebrations among players and supporters who had filled the venue.
