Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to data-driven development, saying accurate population data will remain central to planning and delivering effective public services across the state.
In a message to mark World Population Day, the governor stressed the importance of reliable demographic statistics in shaping policies on healthcare, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and economic development.
Radda said evidence-based planning enables governments to allocate resources more efficiently and address the needs of citizens, particularly the state’s growing youth population.
According to him, Katsina is committed to strengthening data collection and analysis to support informed decision-making and improve service delivery at all levels.
The governor noted that investing in young people through education, skills development, healthcare, and employment opportunities is essential to transforming the state’s demographic potential into economic growth.
He also called for stronger collaboration among government agencies, development partners, and relevant stakeholders to promote sustainable development through accurate and up-to-date population data.
Radda reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to implement policies that improve the quality of life for residents while ensuring development programmes are guided by credible data and evidence.
