WOMEN ACCOUNTANTS RENEW COMMITMENT TO PROTECTING GIRLS’ RIGHTS
The Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria (SWAN) has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the rights of girls through scholarships, mentorship and training programmes.
The organisation said the initiatives are aimed at supporting girls’ education, developing their skills and creating opportunities for them to achieve their full potential.
Scholarships can help reduce the financial barriers that prevent some girls from accessing education, while mentorship and training programmes can equip them with knowledge and skills for future careers.
The commitment also highlights the importance of empowering girls to become financially independent and participate actively in society.
The initiative comes amid ongoing efforts by organisations across Nigeria to promote girls’ education, protect their rights and address barriers to their development.
SWAN’s programmes are expected to contribute to these efforts by providing educational support and encouraging personal and professional growth among girls.
