An aide to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has explained why Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris is considered well suited for a strategic role in the President’s 2027 campaign structure.
The aide pointed to Idris’s extensive background in the labour movement, describing the governor’s experience and political network as valuable assets that could help strengthen the campaign.
According to the aide, Idris’s years of engagement with workers and organised labour have given him a strong understanding of grassroots mobilisation and the concerns of ordinary Nigerians.
The governor’s political influence in Kebbi and his connections beyond the state were also highlighted as factors that could contribute to the success of the APC’s campaign.
The aide said such experience would be particularly useful as the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares to mobilise voters across the country ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Idris is expected to work with other party leaders and campaign officials to strengthen the APC’s grassroots structures and promote support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
