President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has held separate closed-door meetings with key political figures, including House of Representatives member Alhassan Doguwa, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meetings come amid heightened political activities across the country, particularly following the recently concluded Osun State governorship election and ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Details of the discussions were not immediately made public, as the meetings were held behind closed doors.
Doguwa, Akpabio and Oyetola are prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and have remained influential figures within the party.
The meetings have therefore attracted attention amid ongoing political consultations and efforts to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
The President has recently held a series of engagements with political leaders, government officials and other stakeholders as his administration continues to implement its programmes and prepare for upcoming political developments.
The purpose and specific outcomes of the latest meetings with Doguwa, Akpabio and Oyetola are expected to become clearer as more details emerge.
