Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has unveiled a new mobile application, SoworeNow, as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
According to Sowore, the app is designed to connect supporters across Nigeria and the diaspora, providing a digital platform for campaign updates, volunteer coordination, donations, and civic engagement.
He said the initiative reflects his commitment to leveraging technology to build a people-driven political movement and encourage greater participation in Nigeria’s democratic process.
The former African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate noted that the application would also serve as a channel for communicating his policy agenda, organising events, and mobilising supporters nationwide.
Sowore urged Nigerians, particularly young people, to embrace the platform and actively participate in efforts aimed at promoting accountability, transparency, and good governance.
The launch of the app comes as political figures and groups begin early preparations for the 2027 general elections, with digital engagement expected to play a significant role in campaign strategies.
The development underscores the growing influence of technology in modern political campaigns, offering candidates new ways to interact directly with supporters and expand their reach.
