The Rivers State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has told FCT Minister Nyesom Wike that the 2027 election will not be won through boasting or intimidation.
Rivers ADC Chairman Chukwudi Dimkpa made the statement while reacting to Wike’s comments on the political contest in Rivers State.
Dimkpa stressed that election victories are determined by voters at the polls, not by political declarations or claims made before election day.
He urged Rivers residents to remain focused on the candidates and policies they believe can deliver good governance, insisting that no politician should intimidate voters.
The ADC chairman also criticised what he described as provocative political statements and called for respect among political actors as the 2027 election approaches.
The development comes as political activities continue to build momentum in Rivers State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
