POLICE ARREST OVER 20 SUSPECTED CULTISTS IN BAYELSA

The Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested more than 20 suspected cultists in an intensified operation aimed at curbing cult-related violence across the state.
The arrests followed a series of police operations targeting suspected cult groups and individuals linked to cult-related activities.
The command said the operations are part of efforts to prevent violence, maintain public safety and strengthen security across communities in the state.
The suspects are expected to undergo investigation, while those found to have committed offences will be charged to court in line with the law.
The police also warned criminal groups and their members to desist from activities capable of threatening peace and security in Bayelsa.
The command urged residents to remain vigilant and provide security agencies with useful information that could assist ongoing operations.
