OSHIOMHOLE TAKES SWIPE AT OBI: EDO WAS SAFER UNDER MY WATCH THAN ANAMBRA
Former Edo State Governor and Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, has claimed that Edo State was safer during his administration than Anambra State was under the leadership of former governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Oshiomhole made the assertion while criticising Obi’s record on security, arguing that his administration in Edo took stronger measures to combat crime and protect residents.
The former governor also referenced the activities of the Bakassi Boys, insisting that security challenges and methods of enforcement during Obi’s tenure raise questions about the former Anambra governor’s performance.
According to Oshiomhole, leadership should be assessed based on measurable outcomes, particularly in areas such as security, infrastructure, and public welfare.
His remarks have added to the growing political exchanges between supporters and critics of both leaders as discussions around governance records and the 2027 political landscape intensify.
The comments are expected to generate fresh debate among political observers and supporters of the two prominent figures over their respective achievements while in office.
