OOUTH RESIDENT DOCTORS HAIL ABIODUN OVER NEW ALLOWANCES

The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu, has commended Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun for approving and implementing revised Professional and Specialist Allowances for its members.
The doctors expressed appreciation to the governor for fulfilling his earlier promise to improve the welfare of medical professionals in the state.
The association said the approval, domestication and commencement of payment of the revised allowances would provide additional support for resident doctors and recognise the demands of their specialised professional responsibilities.
The development is expected to boost the morale of doctors and contribute to improved healthcare delivery across Ogun State.
The resident doctors also acknowledged the state government’s efforts to address issues affecting healthcare workers and strengthen the health sector.
They said improved welfare remains important in attracting and retaining skilled medical professionals while ensuring quality services for patients.
The implementation of the revised allowances is seen as part of broader efforts to improve working conditions for healthcare workers in Ogun State.
The association expressed hope that the government would sustain its engagement with medical professionals and continue to address outstanding welfare concerns.
