OMO-AGEGE BACKS OBI, STILL DEFENDS TINUBU’S POLICIES
Former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has declared support for Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 elections while insisting that he still believes in some of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies.
Omo-Agege stated that although political alignments may shift ahead of the next general election, certain economic reforms introduced by the Tinubu administration deserve recognition.
His comments have sparked fresh debate within political circles, especially among supporters of the APC and opposition parties, as major politicians continue strategic repositioning ahead of 2027.
Analysts say the statement reflects the growing complexity of Nigeria’s political landscape, where alliances and policy support no longer strictly follow party lines.
