The Kwara State Government has introduced an electronic warehouse management system to improve the monitoring, distribution and availability of family planning commodities across the state.
The initiative is designed to strengthen the management of contraceptive supplies and reduce the risk of stock shortages at health facilities.
Through the digital system, health authorities are expected to have better visibility of available commodities, making it easier to track stock levels and identify facilities that require additional supplies.
The system is also expected to improve record-keeping, reduce delays in distribution and support more efficient use of family planning resources.
The development comes as health authorities continue efforts to improve access to reproductive health services and ensure that women and families can obtain essential family planning commodities when needed.
The state government’s initiative is aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery through improved supply-chain management and the use of technology.
