KOGI WEST APC CANDIDATE REJECTS COURT RULING, VOWS APPEAL
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Kogi West Senatorial District in the 2027 general election, Senator Sunday Karimi, has vowed to challenge a Federal High Court judgment against his candidacy.
Karimi, who currently represents Kogi West in the Senate, rejected the court’s decision in a suit filed by Samuel Aro, who challenged his emergence as the APC senatorial candidate.
Despite the ruling, the senator insists that he remains the party’s flag bearer and says he will pursue an appeal to challenge the judgment.
The legal dispute raises fresh uncertainty over the APC’s senatorial ticket in Kogi West ahead of the 2027 general elections.
