GOMBE GOV NOMINATES THREE COMMISSIONERS, APPOINTS SIX AIDES
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the nomination of three commissioners-designate and the appointment of six political aides as part of efforts to strengthen the state’s governance structure.
The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, disclosed this in a statement, saying the governor had forwarded the names of the three commissioner-nominees to the Gombe State House of Assembly for screening and approval.
The nominees are Dr Ahmed Wali Doho, Nasiru Adamu Degri and Dr Muhammad A. Bello. Their appointments will take effect only after confirmation by the state lawmakers.
Governor Yahaya also approved the appointment of Abdulmalik Musa Jibrin and Mohammed Bashir Nuhu as Special Advisers.
The four Senior Special Assistants appointed are Jibrin M. Ali, Sadiq Mohammed Abubakar, popularly known as BB Kumo, John Launa and Danlami Sanda. They will serve as Senior Special Assistants II on Political and Community Engagement.
According to the state government, the appointments are aimed at improving coordination and supporting the implementation of the administration’s development agenda. The appointments of the six aides take immediate effect, while the commissioner nominees remain subject to legislative approval.
