FG CONGRATULATES BANGLADESH’S NEW PRESIDENT

The Federal Government of Nigeria has congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his election as the new President of Bangladesh.
The government described the development as an important milestone in Bangladesh’s democratic journey and extended its best wishes to the new President as he assumes office.
Nigeria also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the longstanding relationship between both countries and promoting cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The congratulatory message comes as Bangladesh begins a new political chapter following the election of its new leader.
The Federal Government expressed hope that the new administration would continue to promote peace, stability, economic development and democratic governance in Bangladesh.
Nigeria and Bangladesh have maintained diplomatic relations and continue to engage on issues of international cooperation, trade and development.
The Nigerian government wished President Alamgir success in his new responsibility and expressed optimism that relations between Nigeria and Bangladesh would continue to grow.
