EKITI INJECTS ₦55.6M INTO BUSINESSES AS 177 ENTREPRENEURS GET MAJOR BOOST
The Ekiti State Government has disbursed ₦55.6 million to 177 entrepreneurs under its Innovation Enterprise Support Fund, in a move aimed at strengthening innovation, job creation, and enterprise development across the state.
Officials said the funding is designed to support small businesses, startups, innovators, and young entrepreneurs with the resources needed to expand their operations and contribute to economic growth.
The beneficiaries were selected from various sectors, including technology, agriculture, manufacturing, creative industries, and other enterprise-driven ventures.
According to the state government, the initiative forms part of broader efforts to build a thriving innovation ecosystem, encourage entrepreneurship, and reduce unemployment among youths.
Authorities expressed confidence that the financial support would help recipients scale their businesses, create more jobs, and stimulate economic activities within the state.
