ATIKU BLASTS TINUBU OVER FAILURE TO OUTSMART TERRORISTS
Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has challenged President Bola Tinubu’s administration to urgently overhaul Nigeria’s counterterrorism strategy, warning that terrorists are evolving faster than the government’s response.
Atiku expressed concern over the persistent wave of attacks across parts of the country, arguing that insurgents and criminal groups continue to refine their tactics while security agencies appear to be struggling to stay ahead.
According to the former Vice President, Nigeria cannot afford to rely on outdated methods in confronting modern security threats. He called for a comprehensive review of intelligence gathering, military operations, and community-based security initiatives.
The ADC presidential candidate stressed that protecting lives and property should remain the government’s top priority, urging authorities to adopt innovative approaches capable of matching the changing tactics of terrorist groups.
His remarks come amid renewed concerns over insecurity, kidnappings, and violent attacks in several parts of the country, with many Nigerians demanding stronger action from security agencies.
