APC CHAIRMAN PREDICTS 70% OF NORTHERN VOTES FOR TINUBU
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu will secure more than 70 per cent of votes from Northern Nigeria in the 2027 presidential election.
Yilwatda expressed confidence in Tinubu’s support in the region ahead of the next general election, although the outcome will ultimately depend on voters’ decisions at the polls.
The prediction comes as political parties and their leaders prepare for the 2027 elections, with the North expected to remain an important region in the presidential contest because of its large electorate.
Tinubu, who won the 2023 presidential election as the APC candidate, will seek another term in office in 2027 if he contests and secures his party’s nomination.
However, Yilwatda’s projection remains a political prediction and does not establish how voters in the region will vote. The actual outcome will be determined by the electorate during the election.
