ADELEKE BELONGS TO US, WHILE TINUBU OWNS US ALL — WIKE
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has said Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke belongs to his political camp, while describing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the leader to whom they all ultimately belong.
Wike made the remark while speaking on the political realignments and relationships taking shape ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The FCT minister said Adeleke is part of the political group he belongs to, but stressed that they all remain under the broader political leadership of President Tinubu.
His comments come amid increasing political discussions and realignments following Adeleke’s victory in the Osun State governorship election.
Wike, who has maintained a political relationship with Tinubu despite belonging to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has repeatedly spoken about the need for political cooperation and loyalty.
The minister’s latest statement has further fuelled speculation about possible political alignments ahead of 2027, particularly as politicians across party lines continue to reposition themselves.
Wike also emphasised the importance of political relationships and working together in the interest of Nigeria, rather than allowing party differences to create unnecessary divisions.
The comments come as political parties and prominent politicians intensify consultations ahead of the 2027 presidential and general elections.
