CARTER EFE BEATS SPEED DARLINGTON, RETAINS CELEBRITY BOXING TITLE

Nigerian skit maker and boxer Carter Efe has defeated Speed Darlington by unanimous decision to retain his celebrity boxing title after four rounds of action.

Carter Efe secured the victory in the early hours of Friday, October 2, maintaining his unbeaten record in the celebrity boxing scene after the judges unanimously scored the contest in his favour.

Speed Darlington entered the fight hoping to dethrone the defending champion, but Carter Efe controlled the contest sufficiently to earn the judges’ backing over the four rounds.

Following his victory, Carter Efe revealed that he intends to marry his girlfriend, Taylor Jasmine, before considering another boxing bout.

The entertainer also expressed interest in facing bigger names in boxing, including former world champion Floyd Mayweather.

“I want to fight with men, like Mayweather,” Carter Efe said, prompting laughter when the possibility of such a matchup was questioned.

The champion later thanked his supporters for their encouragement after the fight.

The event also featured a celebrity boxing contest between reality television star Phyna and actress Nkechi Blessing. Phyna emerged victorious with a fourth-round knockout, claiming the championship belt and a brand-new car.
